🎯 The Role

Agoda is seeking a visionary Staff Software Engineer to act as a Front-End Architect in Bangkok, Thailand. This pivotal role involves leading the transformation of Agoda's frontend systems, ensuring seamless user experiences for millions globally. You will be instrumental in shaping the next generation of web applications, driving architectural decisions, and fostering a culture of technical excellence within a high-energy, international engineering team. Relocation and family support are provided for this onsite role in vibrant Bangkok.

🛠️ Tech Stack

The ideal candidate will possess deep mastery of:

• Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript
• Frameworks: React, Next.js, Vue
• Concepts: Single-Page Applications (SPA), Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Core Web Vitals

💼 What You'll Do

• Spearhead the architecture and system design for Agoda's next-generation frontend platforms.
• Champion best practices for performance, accessibility, and usability across all web applications.
• Serve as a mentor and subject-matter expert, guiding and developing the frontend engineering team.
• Collaborate and influence key stakeholders across Product and Business teams to align technical vision with business goals.
• Define and enforce technical standards, ensuring the scalability and maintainability of frontend systems.

✅ What You'll Need

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in building and leading the development of complex, large-scale web applications.
• Profound expertise in modern JavaScript and TypeScript, coupled with extensive experience in frameworks like React, Next.js, and Vue.
• A proven track record of delivering robust, high-performance SPA/SSR frontends, with a strong understanding of Core Web Vitals.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including experience in system design and effectively influencing diverse stakeholders.

• Experience with A/B experimentation methodologies.
• International work exposure.
• Prior experience within the travel or e-commerce product domains.
