🎯 The Role

As a Lead Software Engineer (Front End) at Agoda Bangkok HQ, you will drive technical strategy and architecture for consumer-facing web products operating at global scale. You will work across teams to define front-end engineering direction, mentor senior engineers, and optimize web applications that handle massive traffic with high availability.

💼 What You'll Do

• Provide technical direction and architecture leadership for front-end systems with company-wide impact.
• Mentor and grow senior and staff engineers through constructive code reviews and architectural guidance.
• Drive client-side performance, Core Web Vitals, and resilience across platforms.
• Partner with Product Managers and Design leads to align technical decisions with business bottom line.
• Champion engineering excellence, modular component development, and test-driven best practices.

✅ What You'll Need

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep front-end specialization.
• Mastery of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, modern web standards, and UI architecture.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring senior engineers and leading multi-team technical initiatives.
• Strong understanding of business priorities and translating product strategy into technical execution.
• Passion for continuous learning, adopting modern standards, and elevating engineering culture.

• Deep experience in client-side performance optimization and profiling at high scale.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and backend integrations (REST/gRPC/BFF).
• Experience with high-traffic travel or e-commerce marketplaces.
