🎯 The Role

This Staff Software Engineer role sits at the intersection of frontend expertise and full-stack ownership. You'll be building and optimising web interfaces for Agoda's accommodation, flights, and payments products — delivered across mobile web, native apps, and desktop at global scale. This is a senior IC role with significant architectural influence across the Gurgaon office.

🛠️ Tech Stack

• React + TypeScript + JavaScript (primary frontend)
• Java / Kotlin / .NET / C# / Python (backend and middleware)
• Component libraries, API and middleware design

💼 What You'll Do

• Own frontend architecture and lead technical decision-making across teams
• Build and maintain modular, reusable component libraries
• Design and implement APIs and backend services tailored for frontend needs
• Drive performance optimisation best practices across the engineering org
• Mentor junior engineers and elevate team-wide code quality

✅ What You'll Need

• 8+ years of frontend development on large-scale, client-side applications
• Expert-level React and TypeScript skills
• Hands-on experience with at least one backend language (Java, Kotlin, .NET, C# or Python)
• Strong API design and middleware integration experience
• Proven ability to drive architectural changes across multiple teams

• Prior experience at a high-scale internet or app company
• Exposure to big data environments and data-driven product development
• Familiarity with Vue, Angular, or other modern JS frameworks
• Background in Clean Code, SOLID principles, or TDD
