🎯 The Role

TV Product engineers build and deliver novel user-facing features on Netflix's flagship TV application to help members discover stories they love. Working in a distributed remote team across the United States, you will partner with designers, product managers, and machine learning teams to define and iterate on concepts shaping the future of living room entertainment on smart TVs, streaming sticks, and consoles.

💼 What You'll Do

• Design and ship high-impact UI features on the leading TV streaming client.
• Optimize memory consumption, garbage collection, and frame rates on compute-constrained smart TV chipsets.
• Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and recommendation teams to launch rapid A/B test variants.
• Own the reliability and testability of user-facing features through automated testing.
• Analyze telemetry and real-world performance metrics across a heterogeneous ecosystem of living room hardware.

✅ What You'll Need

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building large-scale consumer applications.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript with deep proficiency in React and Redux architecture.
• Strong understanding of web performance, event handling, and memory optimization.
• Eagerness to evaluate product hypotheses through quantitative A/B testing with real users.
• Excellent communication skills within a collaborative, remote-first engineering culture.

🌟 Nice to Have

• Prior experience developing for living room platforms (Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Tizen, WebOS).
• Experience with custom rendering techniques (Canvas, WebGL) or proprietary TV runtimes.
