🎯 The Role

The JavaScript Foundations (JSF) team in Warsaw doesn't build a single consumer app—its product is the developer experience itself. While sibling teams focus on browser runtimes or design systems, JSF tackles foundational language-level challenges: dependency management, supply chain security, TypeScript strategies, and compiler infrastructure that empowers every UI developer at Netflix to ship with maximum speed and safety.

💼 What You'll Do

• Deeply analyze how engineers write JavaScript and TypeScript across Netflix to create optimal abstractions and standard practices.
• Define dependency management and package governance strategies to ensure high security and reliability.
• Automate fleet-wide runtime upgrades, such as annual Node.js LTS migrations across thousands of services.
• Build shared libraries, CLI tools, and automated linting/formatting rules.
• Collaborate closely with internal design system, UI DevEx, and Node.js runtime teams.

✅ What You'll Need

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with deep depth in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Thorough understanding of the Node.js ecosystem, module resolution (CJS/ESM), and modern compiler toolchains.
• Passion for developer experience, tooling performance, and eliminating developer friction.
• Strong analytical mindset for investigating language-level nuances and complex build configurations.
• Excellent communication skills to advocate for best practices across a large engineering organization.

• Contributions to open-source developer tooling, compilers, or TC39 proposals.
• Experience managing large-scale monorepos or enterprise npm package ecosystems.
