🎯 The Role
As an SDE II - Web, you will develop the core web viewing experience for millions of concurrent users. You will solve complex technical challenges in video playback engines, frontend performance, and UI responsiveness across desktop browsers, mobile web, and Smart TV operating systems (Tizen, webOS).
🛠️ Tech Stack
- Core: TypeScript, React.js, Next.js, HTML5, CSS-in-JS (Tailwind, Styled Components)
- Streaming & Media: HTML5 Video, MSE, EME, Shaka Player, HLS.js, Video.js, Dash.js, DRM

💼 What You'll Do
- Architect and build scalable front-end systems using modern React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript architectures.
- Drive performance engineering across all web touchpoints: optimize page startup time, rebuffering frequency, memory footprint, and Core Web Vitals.
- Integrate player UI with low-level playback engines, handling adaptive bitrate switching and DRM protection.
- Ensure cross-platform reliability across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and connected Smart TV browsers.
- Build QoS and observability instrumentation to monitor playback failures and user engagement in real time.
✅ What You'll Need
- 2-4 years of professional web development experience with deep expertise in TypeScript and React.
- Strong hands-on experience with HTML5 video streaming pipelines (HLS, DASH, MSE/EME, player customization).
- In-depth understanding of web performance optimization, DOM rendering, and browser networking.
- Experience with modern test automation (Jest, Playwright) and CI/CD workflows.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
🌟 Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience developing web applications for Smart TVs (Samsung Tizen, LG webOS).
- Experience working with server-side rendering (SSR) and streaming edge architectures.
