🎯 The Role

As a Senior Software Development Engineer (Frontend) in the Video Center of Excellence (CoE), you will design and build the visual gateway for JioStar's next-generation video intelligence and analytics platform. In this role, you will bridge cutting-edge artificial intelligence models with intuitive, high-performance user experiences—crafting low-latency streaming video players, interactive metric explorers, and complex multi-dimensional data visualizations for millions of viewers and internal domain specialists.

💼 What You'll Do

• Lead the architecture and implementation of responsive, performant web applications for end-user streaming experiences and AI-powered internal portals.
• Design modular UI component libraries and design systems that accelerate development speed across the video insights platform.
• Implement high-dimensional data visualizations to map video understanding metrics, semantic search indexes, and model benchmarks.
• Optimize web client performance for ultra-low latency playback and real-time streaming AI inferences.
• Partner closely with AI Research, Product, and Design teams to convert complex machine learning pipelines into seamless, human-centric interfaces.
• Translate interactive UI/UX wireframes into accessible, production-grade frontend code.
• Establish engineering best practices around state management, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
• Mentor fellow engineers and foster technical excellence through collaborative design reviews and architecture documentation.

✅ What You'll Need

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep focus on building scalable, production-grade frontend applications.
• Strong expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern utility-first CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
• Proven background in data visualization utilizing libraries such as D3.js, ECharts, or Highcharts to display dense datasets.
• Experience working with video playback technologies (HLS, DASH) and client-side media pipelines.
• Hands-on experience integrating REST/GraphQL APIs and handling real-time push data via WebSockets or Server-Sent Events.
• Proficiency in web performance profiling and tuning with Chrome DevTools, Web Vitals, and Lighthouse.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
