🎯 The Role

Costco Wholesale is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend (Level 2a) to join the Global Digital Experience team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, responsive web interactions, developing reusable design system components, and ensuring peak performance and scalability for one of the world's highest-volume eCommerce websites.

🛠️ Tech Stack

• Frontend Technologies: React.js, TypeScript, Next.js, Modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3
• State Management & UI: Redux, Context API, MUI v5, Design System Component Libraries
• Testing & Tooling: Jest, React Testing Library, Webpack, Storybook, Git, CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud & Services: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Microservices

💼 What You'll Do

• Design, develop, debug, and optimize responsive user interfaces for global eCommerce platforms
• Build modular and accessible UI components adhering strictly to design system guidelines
• Implement test-driven development practices with Jest and React Testing Library to maintain high code stability
• Partner with architecture leads and backend engineers to integrate REST and GraphQL endpoints
• Profile frontend web performance, identify render bottlenecks, and streamline bundle delivery
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, and story grooming

✅ What You'll Need

• 4 to 6 years of professional frontend web engineering experience
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of React.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript standards
• Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive automated unit tests using React Testing Library and Jest
• Experience designing responsive, accessible layouts using modern CSS and preprocessing tooling
• Practical experience consuming REST/GraphQL APIs and working with CI/CD deployment automation
• Solid communication and cross-functional problem-solving skills in an Agile engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

🌟 Nice to Have

• Prior experience working on high-traffic online retail or eCommerce platforms
• Familiarity with Next.js, Storybook, and Chromatic
• Exposure to cloud-native deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines and screen reader testing
