🎯 The Role

Costco Wholesale is looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to join the International eCommerce team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for setting the architectural vision, leading the development of responsive user experiences, and driving continuous improvement across a diverse frontend ecosystem utilizing Angular, React, and Next.js.

💼 What You'll Do

• Architect, develop, and maintain responsive web-based user interfaces for international eCommerce portals
• Establish composable component hierarchies and drive design system adoption across product teams
• Champion code quality, test automation, and robust continuous deployment practices
• Lead web performance initiatives, runtime profiling, and client-side optimization
• Mentor engineers, promote collaborative learning, and conduct in-depth architectural reviews
• Coordinate closely with global product management and backend service squads

✅ What You'll Need

• 8 to 12 years of professional software engineering experience with strong frontend leadership
• Extensive hands-on proficiency across both Angular and React ecosystems, paired with modern TypeScript
• Proven track record of architecting scalable web applications and enterprise design systems
• Demonstrated experience writing comprehensive automated tests and maintaining high reliability
• Practical experience with cloud-native architectures (GCP/Azure) and REST/GraphQL API consumption
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills in international environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

🌟 Nice to Have

• Direct experience building or scaling multi-region, internationalized (i18n) retail websites
• Familiarity with enterprise compliance standards (SOX, PCI, PII, GDPR)
• Experience working with serverless cloud functions and distributed caching mechanisms
