🎯 The Role
Costco Wholesale is seeking an Associate Principal Software Engineer - Frontend (Level 3) to guide frontend architectural direction and engineering excellence in Hyderabad. In this role, you will take technical ownership of large-scale web interactions, establish core architectural frameworks, champion best coding practices, and guide multi-disciplinary engineering squads delivering high-traffic web applications.

💼 What You'll Do
- Define technical roadmaps and frontend architecture for high-volume enterprise retail platforms
- Oversee the creation and governance of shared, accessible design system component libraries
- Drive rigorous code quality standards, code reviews, and test-driven development practices
- Lead performance auditing, runtime profiling, and bundle optimizations to maintain optimal Core Web Vitals
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, product managers, and cloud engineering leaders
- Mentor and nurture senior engineering talent across software development squads
✅ What You'll Need
- 8 to 12 years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated frontend architectural leadership
- Deep technical mastery of React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern asynchronous web concepts
- Proven background designing scalable, modular web applications and enterprise design systems
- Practical experience applying test-driven development with Jest and React Testing Library
- Strong experience integrating complex REST APIs, GraphQL services, and cloud platform tools (GCP/Azure)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical mentoring skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
