🎯 The Role

As a Staff Engineer – Platform Frontend, you will own the architectural foundation that every product engineering team at HighLevel builds upon. This is a dedicated platform architecture role—not a feature team role. You will be responsible for the application shell, module federation topology, shared component library, build tooling, and the performance and quality bar across all surfaces of the platform. You will balance hands-on technical architecture with high-leverage organizational influence, authoring RFCs, leading multi-quarter migrations, and debugging complex production performance anomalies.

💼 What You'll Do

• Architect the application shell and host/remote boundary contracts, managing bootstrapping, auth-aware navigation, and cross-application state.
• Design failure isolation strategies ensuring that slow or broken remotes degrade individual widgets rather than bringing down the entire platform.
• Own independent release strategies across micro-frontends, including contract testing, staged deployments, and instant single-remote rollbacks.
• Attack load performance and bundle bloat through code splitting, prefetching, shared-chunk deduplication, and CDN caching policies.
• Optimize runtime and main-thread performance by diagnosing re-render thrashing, list virtualization, and long-lived session memory leaks.
• Define and enforce Core Web Vitals (INP, route transition latency) through real-user monitoring (RUM) and strict CI performance budgets.
• Author engineering RFCs, guide architectural consensus across distributed teams, and mentor senior engineers across the organization.

✅ What You'll Need

• 9+ years of professional frontend engineering experience with deep architectural ownership.
• Expert-level mastery of JavaScript, TypeScript, browser layout/rendering engines, the event loop, and memory lifecycles.
• Production expertise with Vue 3 (Composition API) or equivalent deep production mastery in React/Angular with readiness to specialize in Vue.
• Hands-on production experience designing, deploying, and maintaining module federation or micro-frontend architectures.
• Proven track record optimizing enterprise web performance with measurable metrics and real-world examples.
• Deep familiarity with modern build tooling at scale (Vite, Webpack, Rspack, Turborepo).
• First-principles understanding of web accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and automated test governance.
• Exceptional written communication skills suited for an asynchronous, remote-first culture.
• Must be based in India.

• Experience with Node.js backend-for-frontend (BFF) layers or server-side rendering (SSR).
