🎯 The Role

Mercor is hiring Frontend Engineers for two distinct tracks:

1. Full-time (San Francisco): Join the core team to build the platforms and tools that power our AI talent infrastructure.
2. Freelance/Project-based (Remote): Work on high-impact projects creating the data, prompts, and rubrics used to train and evaluate frontier LLMs on their ability to write code and build UIs.

🛠️ Tech Stack

• Primary: React, TypeScript, Next.js
• Styling: Tailwind CSS
• Focus: High-performance web apps, interactive tools, and data-dense dashboards.

💼 Key Responsibilities

• Product Engineering: Build scalable, intuitive interfaces for Mercor’s core AI platform.
• Model Alignment: Design 'vibe coding' benchmarks and data sets to improve how AI models handle frontend tasks.
• Evaluation: Create rigorous, binary rubrics to judge the quality and security of AI-generated code.
• Prompt Engineering: Write complex prompts to test and extend model capabilities in web development.

✅ What You'll Need

• 2-10 years of experience (level adjusted based on role/seniority).
• Mastery of React and TypeScript.
• A desire to work at the intersection of traditional software engineering and AI research.
• Excellent technical communication skills for writing rubrics and specifications.
