🎯 The Role

As a Software Engineer (India Remote), you'll be a key contributor to Mercor's AI-powered hiring platform — a system designed to create a billion jobs. From enhancing AI interview flows to processing millions in weekly payouts and building people-search at massive scale, this role sits at the intersection of frontend, infrastructure, and research-adjacent product work.

🛠️ Tech Stack

• React + Next.js for frontend interfaces
• Python / Go for backend services
• SQL + NoSQL database design
• Cloud infrastructure on GCP or AWS
• LLM post-training and AI pipeline experience a plus

💼 What You'll Do

• Build and refine the AI interview and candidate experience
• Architect and maintain a people-search system over billions of profiles
• Ensure reliable, scalable processing of large weekly payouts
• Contribute to LLM post-training and evaluation workflows
• Own end-to-end features from infrastructure to product surface

✅ What You'll Need

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• CS degree (Bachelor's or higher)
• Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, Python, or Go
• Solid experience with relational and non-relational database design
• Hands-on experience with GCP or AWS cloud platforms
• Availability to overlap with PT timezone through at least 11am PT daily

🌟 Nice to Have

• Prior experience with LLM fine-tuning or post-training workflows
• Background in high-throughput payment or payout systems
• Experience with search infrastructure at scale
