🎯 The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript, React) on the Factory Software Engineering team, you will take ownership of the frontend architecture of complex, enterprise-scale web applications. Working on-site at Gigafactory Berlin, you will design performant, resilient, and intuitive interfaces that streamline manufacturing execution, decrease production overhead, and empower factory teams on the ground.

🛠️ Tech Stack

• TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and React (or Angular)
• Modern bundlers and dev servers: Vite and Webpack
• Automated end-to-end and unit testing: Playwright, Cypress, Jest
• RESTful API architectures and GraphQL contracts
• Semantic HTML5, responsive CSS, accessibility (WCAG), and Tailwind CSS
• Backend exposure: Golang, PostgreSQL, MySQL

💼 What You'll Do

• Drive the frontend technical architecture for high-throughput factory execution software
• Build polished, low-latency, and accessible user interfaces that withstand the demands of heavy industrial operations
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers and product teams during technical specification and schema design
• Establish and enforce frontend standards, including performance budgets, code review guidelines, and reusable component libraries
• Build shared developer tooling, test automation pipelines, and technical documentation

✅ What You'll Need

• 4+ years of hands-on software development experience building production web applications using TypeScript and React
• Solid foundation in software design, component architecture, state management, and code maintainability
• Practical experience with modern tooling (Vite, Webpack) and automated testing (Jest, Playwright, Cypress)
• Demonstrated ability to consume and design RESTful and GraphQL API contracts
• Full professional proficiency in English

🌟 Nice to Have

• Experience building or maintaining design systems (Storybook, Tailwind CSS)
• Familiarity with backend development in Golang and relational databases
• German language proficiency
