🎯 The Role
Join the Feeds Experience team as a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, responsible for one of Reddit's highest traffic pages. You will build smooth, intuitive, and delightful feed experiences for hundreds of millions of users, driving critical projects across Reddit’s web architecture.
🛠️ Tech Stack
Javascript, Typescript, ES6, React, Vue, Angular, LIT, Polymer, CSS. Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift basics is a plus.
💼 What You'll Do
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering to build novel products and features.
- Contribute to developer workflow standards and mentor engineers.
- Own the full development cycle for major projects, including design, development, testing, and launch.
- Drive planning, development, and implementation of critical web architecture projects.
- Foster a culture of metrics-led execution with a focus on operational excellence.
- Partner with leadership to develop the product and engineering roadmap.
✅ What You'll Need
- 6+ years of frontend-focused software development experience (Javascript, Typescript, ES6).
- Proficiency with frontend web frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, LIT, or Polymer, and CSS.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule.
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong focus on user experience and usability, with an intuition for user interaction.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, self-direction, innovation, and a bias towards action in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration and discussing complex topics with diverse audiences.
