🎯 The Role
As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Ads Creative & Recommendations team, you will play a pivotal role in making it easier for advertisers to maximize performance on Reddit. You will own complex and sometimes ambiguous areas of the product, from technical design through launch and iteration, working closely with cross-functional teams. The goal is to reduce friction for advertisers, helping them move from an idea to an effective campaign by building unified experiences that provide context, guidance, and refinement capabilities.

💼 What You'll Do
- Lead the technical design and ensure the successful delivery of intricate frontend features within Ads Manager's creative and recommendation workflows.
- Transform AI-backed functionalities into intuitive interfaces that advertisers can easily understand, control, and refine.
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to navigate ambiguous requirements and make informed product and engineering decisions.
- Develop and implement reusable frontend patterns and components to foster a consistent campaign creation experience.
- Instrument user experiences, analyze results, and leverage experiments and product data to drive continuous iteration and improvement.
- Elevate the quality of the codebase through meticulous architecture, comprehensive testing, robust observability, performance enhancements, and accessibility considerations.
- Conduct high-quality code reviews, offer technical guidance, and mentor other engineers to support their growth.
- Work across frontend, backend, data, and machine learning systems to deliver reliable, end-to-end user experiences.
✅ What You'll Need
- At least 5 years of professional experience in building production-grade web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Proficiency in utilizing agentic coding tools such as Codex, Cursor, or Claude in your daily software development workflow.
- A proven history of independently delivering complex frontend projects from initial technical design through to launch and subsequent iterations.
- Strong judgment in critical frontend areas including architecture, state management, component design, testing strategies, and API integration.
- Demonstrated experience in crafting polished user interfaces with a keen eye for usability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
- The ability to effectively navigate and solve ambiguous product and technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective partnership across engineering, product, design, and data disciplines.
- Experience in using instrumentation, experimentation, or product metrics to gain insights and enhance user experiences.
- A consistent practice of improving engineering quality through thorough code reviews, comprehensive documentation, and technical mentorship.
