🎯 The Role

We are seeking a Principal Frontend Software Engineer to design, architect, evolve, and maintain our web frontend systems and developer tools. As part of a unified R&D engineering group, you will spearhead initiatives that accelerate customer migration to the cloud while scaling performance across our flagship products.

In this role, you will report to a Senior Engineering Manager or Head of Engineering, setting the standard for client-side quality, modularity, and durability.

💼 What You'll Do

• Architect and write high-performing, resilient client-side code that is fast, testable, and maintainable for years.
• Plan, design, and implement scalable user interface systems and shared frontend infrastructure that elevate UX across products.
• Partner closely with engineering managers, product leads, and designers to identify UX bottlenecks and implement elegant, robust solutions.
• Champion engineering excellence: lead deep architectural critiques, establish paved paths, and diagnose complex production regressions.
• Drive critical engineering initiatives end-to-end, from architectural RFCs and prototyping to production rollout and observability.
• Onboard, mentor, and sponsor senior frontend engineers, elevating the technical bar across distributed teams.

✅ What You'll Need

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering large-scale, production web applications.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS, and modern framework architectures (especially React).
• Comprehensive understanding of the modern frontend ecosystem: bundling, linting, code-splitting, and release workflows.
• Extensive experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Mocha, or Chai.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering complex software systems with long-term architectural durability.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills with experience guiding teams through complex technical decisions.

🌟 Nice to Have

• Experience with large-scale micro-frontends or shared component design systems at enterprise scale.
• Familiarity with cloud-native web deployment pipelines and real-user monitoring (RUM) tools.
• Contributions to open-source developer tooling or developer platform libraries.
