🎯 The Role

As a Staff Software Engineer - Frontend on the Walmart Marketplace Payments organization, you will provide technical leadership, architectural direction, and hands-on execution for platforms powering how global sellers and partners get paid. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end user experiences across Capital, Faster Payout, Risk Management, and global payment expansions. You will build resilient, intuitive web interfaces, establish reusable frontend design systems, and integrate cutting-edge Agentic AI workflows into the software development lifecycle.

💼 What You'll Do

• Architect and engineer responsive, high-performance web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Simplify complex payout, lending, and marketplace financial workflows into intuitive, accessible user interfaces.
• Design and integrate Agentic AI workflows to enhance developer productivity, automate repetitive workflows, and streamline seller experiences.
• Develop shared frontend component libraries, design patterns, and platform standards to accelerate engineering velocity across global teams.
• Partner with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to deliver resilient solutions for international marketplace expansion.
• Mentor, guide, and elevate engineering talent across frontend and full-stack disciplines, promoting technical excellence and rigorous code quality.

✅ What You'll Need

• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership in large-scale platform architectures.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend system architecture.
• Deep expertise in client-side state management, web performance optimization, and accessibility best practices.
• Working understanding of backend distributed systems, REST APIs, and microservices (such as Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, or Cassandra).
• Practical experience designing cloud-native applications across Azure, GCP, or private clouds with focus on observability and disaster recovery.
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills to influence engineering decisions across multi-geo teams.

• Experience with payments, lending, fintech, financial services, or international marketplace platforms.
• Hands-on experience developing or integrating LLM-based solutions, Agentic AI, or AI-powered developer tools.
