🎯 The Role

As the first dedicated frontend owner, you will define and execute the frontend technical vision for a 690,000-line React and TypeScript application. The product features an extensive visual workflow builder, a citation-backed document viewer, high-density data tables handling tens of thousands of rows, interactive chat assistants, and real-time streaming views of autonomous agents executing long-running tasks. You will set standards for what world-class looks like, build robust guardrails for agentic code generation, and steer the platform through rapid scale.

💼 What You'll Do

• Take end-to-end ownership of frontend architecture: state management, data caching, routing topologies, and build tooling.
• Unify fragmented components into a single, high-fidelity design system backed by automated usage guardrails.
• Drive frontend performance by cutting initial bundle payloads, improving Core Web Vitals, and tracking metrics through CI.
• Invent novel UI/UX patterns for AI agents streaming partial reasoning and outputs over multi-minute horizons.
• Lead the migration converging two generations of the visual workflow builder into one without stalling feature delivery.
• Build strict typing boundaries, visual regression tests, and lint rules to keep agent-assisted coding safe at high velocity.
• Mentor and review frontend engineers across India and the US, establishing an elevated standard of product craft.

✅ What You'll Need

• 8+ years of production experience shipping complex, customer-facing web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Track record of owning a frontend codebase top-to-bottom: architecture, build pipelines, design systems, and release health.
• Concrete history of optimizing frontend web performance with verifiable before-and-after metrics.
• Discriminating product taste and strong partnership with design on layout, hierarchy, and micro-interactions.
• Experience leveraging, auditing, and hardening systems that integrate AI-assisted code generation.
• Clear, articulate written communication suited for async, distributed team collaboration.
