🎯 The Role

As a Staff Frontend Engineer in Bengaluru, you will act as a primary technical pillar for ServiceTitan's newly expanding India engineering center. In this high-ownership individual contributor role, you will set the multi-year frontend architecture vision, introduce scalable micro-frontend boundaries, and drive Progressive Web App (PWA) capabilities across mission-critical dispatch and field management portals.

• Architecture: Micro-frontends (Module Federation, single-spa), BFF (Backend-For-Frontend)
• Mobile & Web: Progressive Web Apps (PWA), Service Workers, Offline-first Caching
• Tooling & Platform: Webpack, Vite, Node.js, Web Vitals, Chrome DevTools, Automated Testing

💼 What You'll Do

• Define and execute frontend architecture strategies across multiple squads, focusing on modularity, decoupling, and micro-frontend patterns.
• Lead cross-functional technical initiatives from high-level architectural proposals down to production delivery.
• Architect robust PWA solutions with offline data synchronization, service workers, and responsive field performance.
• Establish engineering excellence standards covering code reviews, bundle budgets, accessibility (WCAG), and test automation.
• Mentor and coach junior and senior software engineers, building strong technical leadership within the India engineering organization.
• Collaborate closely with Product, UX Design, and Engineering managers to balance architectural refactoring with commercial roadmaps.
• Proactively diagnose systemic performance bottlenecks, rendering overhead, and developer tooling friction.

✅ What You'll Need

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep specialization in modern web frontend architecture.
• Extensive proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and comprehensive rendering paradigms.
• Hands-on expertise designing, rolling out, and maintaining micro-frontend systems using Module Federation or equivalent technologies.
• Demonstrated success architecting and scaling high-throughput, enterprise-grade web applications.
• Strong grounding in web accessibility guidelines (WCAG), Core Web Vitals optimization, and browser runtime performance.
• Proven track record of guiding technical culture and driving alignment across distributed engineering squads without formal managerial authority.
• Clear, persuasive communication skills capable of translating complex architectural tradeoffs for business and product partners.

🌟 Nice to Have

• Experience designing and building Node.js Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers and GraphQL/REST gateways.
• Practical experience developing enterprise design systems and shared component registries at scale.
• Exposure to integrating AI/LLM developer tooling or user-facing AI capabilities into web workflows.
