🎯 The Role

At Swiggy, SDE III engineers play an integral role in owning the end-to-end architecture and technical roadmap of complex systems. In this role, you will partner closely with product leaders to translate high-scale consumer requirements into scalable high-level and low-level frontend designs. You will own client-side rendering strategies, micro-frontend boundaries, design systems, and agentic AI-assisted development practices across engineering pods.

💼 What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end frontend architecture decisions, rendering strategies, and module boundaries for high-scale consumer products
• Build, standardize, and maintain reusable UI component libraries and design systems for cross-functional teams
• Drive rigorous performance budgets, tuning bundle sizes, rendering paths, and Core Web Vitals
• Lead team adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools, establishing prompt conventions, security guardrails, and code verification standards
• Partner with UI/UX designers to explore rapid prototypes and ensure pixel-perfect, accessible implementations across devices
• Champion test-driven development (TDD) and modern CI/CD automation pipelines

✅ What You'll Need

• Extensive hands-on experience building complex, large-scale consumer web applications
• Advanced mastery of React, TypeScript, and modern web standards
• Proven architectural experience with micro-frontends, state management (TanStack Query, Zustand), and monorepo tooling (Turborepo, pnpm)
• Deep knowledge of web performance engineering, Core Web Vitals, and WCAG accessibility standards
• Hands-on testing expertise with Vitest, Jest, Testing Library, and Playwright/Cypress
• Strong technical judgment when reviewing and hardening code generated by AI tools
