🎯 The Role

As a Software Development Engineer – 3 (Frontend), you will lead the design and implementation of resilient, high-throughput frontend architectures for Locus’s enterprise logistics platform. You will be responsible for building complex data visualization and real-time dispatch systems, collaborating with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and DevOps to deliver scalable, mission-critical web applications.

💼 What You'll Do

• Architect and maintain enterprise-grade frontend systems powering mission-critical supply chain workflows.
• Develop highly responsive, data-dense interfaces and interactive map visualizations handling thousands of real-time events.
• Establish and scale shared UI component frameworks and design system foundations across multiple products.
• Optimize web client performance, internationalization, accessibility, and cross-browser reliability.
• Institute secure frontend practices and robust defense mechanisms against common vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF).
• Conduct technical code reviews, design critiques, and mentor mid-level and junior engineers across the frontend organization.

✅ What You'll Need

• 6 to 10 years of professional software engineering experience developing modern, component-driven web applications.
• Strong expertise in ReactJS and native JavaScript (ES6+), with deep practical knowledge of TypeScript.
• Solid experience designing scalable frontend architectures, component systems, and state management solutions (Redux, React Query).
• Sound understanding of web performance optimization techniques, client-side caching, and RESTful API consumption.
• Familiarity with modern test automation libraries such as Jest, Cypress, or React Testing Library.

🌟 Nice to Have

• Experience building enterprise design systems or shared component libraries.
• Exposure to micro-frontend architectures or modular federated applications.
• Hands-on background with geospatial data, map rendering engines, or complex dashboard visualizations.
• Familiarity with CI/CD delivery pipelines and frontend monitoring/observability tools.
