🎯 The Role

ixigo is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Web to join its core engineering team in Gurugram. In this role, you will build user-facing web applications, responsive travel booking funnels, and performant webviews integrated across native iOS and Android apps. You will work across the modern JavaScript stack, focusing heavily on React.js, Next.js, and Node.js to deliver snappy, conversion-friendly user experiences capable of handling immense traffic spikes during peak festive and holiday booking seasons.

💼 What You'll Do

• Develop and scale frontend user interfaces and customer journeys with React.js and Next.js
• Author reusable UI components and publish internal npm packages consumed across web and mobile webviews
• Partner with product managers and product designers to rapidly test, prototype, and release customer-facing features
• Profile frontend web performance to eliminate page latency, layout thrashing, and memory leaks
• Build high-throughput REST APIs and microservice endpoints with Node.js and Express
• Integrate AI-native development tools into everyday engineering workflows
• Conduct code reviews, establish architectural standards, and champion application security and scalability

✅ What You'll Need

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with JavaScript and web technologies
• Strong command of modern JavaScript (ES6+), component architecture, and TypeScript concepts
• Hands-on production experience deploying frontend applications using React.js or Next.js
• Solid backend capabilities with Node.js, Express, and database interactions (SQL/NoSQL)
• Proven understanding of web rendering performance, network waterfall optimization, and browser debugging
• Working familiarity with Git workflows, RESTful integrations, and CI/CD automated deployment pipelines
• Ability to work onsite from the ixigo engineering headquarters in Gurugram

🌟 Nice to Have

• Experience building webviews for high-volume hybrid mobile applications
• Hands-on familiarity with cloud services on AWS and containerization using Docker
• Experience with automated frontend testing frameworks such as Jest or Playwright
• Background in travel-tech, e-commerce, or consumer internet applications operating at high scale
