🎯 The Role
The Consumer engineering team at Kraken owns the end-to-end trading and portfolio experience across web and mobile. As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you will design, build, and optimize high-trust consumer products that turn first-time curiosity into long-term engagement, partnering closely with Product, Design, Data, and Platform teams.

💼 What You'll Do
- Design and ship high-quality consumer features across web (React) and mobile (React Native) from discovery through production monitoring.
- Drive experimentation strategies: form hypotheses, run A/B tests, analyze telemetry, and iterate rapidly based on real user behavior.
- Build ultra-responsive real-time price feeds, charts, and transaction flows via WebSockets.
- Make sound architectural decisions regarding React Server Components, routing boundaries, and client state.
- Raise code standards through automated testing, accessibility (WCAG), performance profiling, and PR reviews.
- Incorporate structured AI-native development workflows (Cursor, Claude Code) into day-to-day engineering.
✅ What You'll Need
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building consumer-facing web and mobile applications.
- Deep mastery of TypeScript and the modern React ecosystem.
- Production experience building and releasing cross-platform mobile apps with React Native (iOS / Android).
- Hands-on experience with Next.js App Router and React Server Components.
- Proven track record with A/B testing, feature flagging, and experimentation frameworks.
- Experience working with WebSockets or SSE for real-time UI synchronization.
- Strong background in fintech, crypto, payments, or high-trust consumer applications.
