🎯 The Role

Kake is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join a technology company transforming professional development with a human-blended AI coaching platform. In this role, you will be instrumental in completely rebuilding the architecture for their next funding round, collaborating closely with a tight 3-person team directly alongside the VP of Engineering. You will drive the delivery of rich, user-centric coaching interfaces independently with a sharp attention to detail and a quick iteration mindset.

🛠️ Tech Stack

This role primarily leverages React and TypeScript for frontend development. Experience with Expo or React Native is crucial for mobile deployment. While frontend-focused, familiarity with Python for AI/cloud infrastructure and some full-stack exposure to backend concepts like Node.js or Go are considered valuable assets.

💼 What You'll Do

• Own frontend feature delivery end-to-end, building highly interactive interfaces, admin layers, and mobile workflows with a focus on UI/UX detail.
• Architect senior-level UI patterns and design highly reusable frontend components across web and mobile platforms.
• Build and optimize user interfaces that support structured coaching frameworks, data visualizations from personality assessments, and real-time AI interactions.
• Collaborate on the frontend architecture required for a seamless blended experience, including real-time handoffs between AI and human coaches.
• Partner directly with the VP of Engineering to translate business requirements into actionable tasks without waiting for instructions.
• Participate in technical design reviews, help set frontend architecture standards, and leverage AI-assisted development tools throughout the engineering lifecycle.

✅ What You'll Need

• Senior-level professional software engineering experience with a strong frontend focus, pattern recognition, and reusable component thinking.
• Deep proficiency with frontend development using React and Typescript.
• Experience with Expo or React Native wrappers for iOS and Android deployment.
• Direct experience building frontends for AI-driven or agentic applications, with an understanding of how to surface complex AI workflows to users.
• High level of communication and agency, with a proven ability to drive technical initiatives independently.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a quick iteration mindset, comfortable with balancing speed and imperfect code.
• Full overlap with US Central Time (CST) timezone.

🌟 Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Python, or a strong willingness to interface with Python-based AI and cloud infrastructure components.
• Some full-stack exposure or familiarity with backend concepts (Node.js or Go) is a major plus, though not a strict dealbreaker.
