🎯 The Role
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll join a cross-functional team spanning Frontend, Backend, SRE, and QA. You'll contribute to building tools, APIs, and integrations for one of Remote's products, working with a React and Next.js frontend backed by Elixir/Phoenix and Postgres. The team deploys multiple times daily through GitLab CI/CD on AWS.

💼 What You'll Do
- Lead the development of major team-scoped projects and participate in cross-team initiatives
- Contribute to product work by providing feedback and proposing solutions to complex problems
- Use technical insights to suggest product and engineering improvements
- Implement polished interfaces that make customers and yourself proud
- Provide thoughtful, meaningful feedback on code reviews
- Participate in support rotations, hiring, and RFC discussions
- Mentor and guide other engineers on the team
✅ What You'll Need
- Proven experience working as a Frontend Engineer
- Solid understanding of JavaScript ES6+
- Proficiency with React
- Experience writing meaningful tests with Jest and React Testing Library or Enzyme
- Track record of leading implementation and maintenance of large frontend applications
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity and turning abstract concepts into working software
- Strong ability to work independently in an async, self-guided environment
- Attention to detail for accessible, delightful user experiences
- Fluency in English

- Salary: $53,300 – $119,850 USD/year
