🎯 The Role
As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Nextiva, you will be a hands-on individual contributor responsible for the development, modernization, and optimization of Nextiva's frontend platform. This role involves actively delivering high-quality production code, working on complex frontend initiatives, and participating in technical design discussions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and user-centered web applications that align with business goals and Nextiva's AI-powered vision.

💼 What You'll Do
- Contribute to the rebuild and modernization of existing web applications to enhance performance and user experience.
- Collaborate closely with design teams to translate UI/UX concepts into scalable, high-quality interfaces.
- Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance React-based frontend code.
- Participate in end-to-end feature delivery, from initial design through deployment.
- Contribute to frontend engineering standards through rigorous code reviews, testing strategies, and best practices.
- Debug application issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and modern frontend development workflows.
- Evaluate and implement modern frontend tools and libraries to improve the platform.
- Ensure consistency, maintainability, and scalability of frontend applications.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product, backend, QA, and design.
- Contribute to shared component libraries and frontend architecture initiatives.
- Participate in PR reviews with a strong focus on maintainability, accessibility, and code quality.
- Support and mentor junior engineers within the team, fostering their growth and development.
- Stay current with modern frontend technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
- Leverage AI tools to improve engineering productivity across code generation, testing, and debugging.
- Understand and contribute to AI-powered experiences that enhance customer engagement and platform usability.
✅ What You'll Need
- 6–9 years of hands-on experience in frontend development.
- Strong expertise in React and core frontend fundamentals including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Proven experience working in product-based organizations.
- A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Demonstrated experience debugging frontend applications and optimizing their performance.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- Solid TypeScript experience, including types, generics, and reusable component patterns.
- Experience with modern frontend tooling and package management.
- Hands-on experience building reusable UI components and scalable frontend applications.
- Experience with Tailwind CSS or other modern styling approaches.

- Experience with WebRTC or other real-time communication technologies.
- Experience with React Native or mobile application development.
- Exposure to modern state/data management libraries such as TanStack Query.
- Familiarity with monorepo tooling like Turborepo, Nx, or pnpm workspaces.
