🎯 The Role

This role will help build and evolve the customer-facing web surfaces that define the Bluehost experience for millions of users. We are scaling fast and rebuilding as we go: adopting new architectural patterns, integrating AI-native developer tooling, and raising the bar for frontend craft.

This is a fully remote opportunity for engineers based anywhere in India.

• Build Systems & Architecture: Vite, Turborepo, Webpack, Micro-frontends, Module Federation
• Quality & Performance: Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, WCAG accessibility
• AI Tooling: Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot

💼 What You'll Do

• Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and long-term roadmap for frontend systems across the Bluehost platform.
• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance web applications serving millions of global users.
• Conduct architecture reviews, design deep-dives, and establish engineering excellence standards.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise the organizational engineering bar through technical coaching.
• Champion frontend best practices: Core Web Vitals optimization, accessibility, and modular design systems.
• Evaluate emerging frontend technologies and implement AI-accelerated developer tooling to boost shipping velocity.
• Partner with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and executive leadership to align technical strategy with business outcomes.

✅ What You'll Need

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in frontend or full-stack software development.
• At least 2+ years operating in a Principal, Staff, or equivalent technical leadership role.
• Deep mastery of React (lifecycle, state, Server Components) and modern TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with modern data-fetching and state management libraries (TanStack Query, Zustand).
• Proven experience designing and optimizing frontend build systems (Vite, Turborepo, Webpack) and micro-frontend architectures.
• Deep understanding of web performance profiling (Core Web Vitals) and digital accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional technical direction.

• Exposure to backend systems (Node.js, Python) and cloud infrastructure (OCI/AWS).
• Experience with automated E2E testing pipelines using Playwright or Cypress.
