🎯 The Role

ClickUp is hiring a Principal Frontend Engineer to establish and guide the long-term technical vision for frontend architecture across all core product surfaces. Working remotely across eligible Canada and EMEA locations, you will operate as a high-leverage technical leader tackling complex challenges in scalability, state synchronization, client-side performance, and developer velocity.

💼 What You'll Do

• Architect foundational frontend systems and cross-cutting platform layers supporting rapid feature delivery.
• Guide technology choices across Angular and React stacks, ensuring consistency and long-term maintainability.
• Eliminate bottlenecks in client performance, memory consumption, and rendering latency across high-data views.
• Partner with backend and platform teams to design end-to-end data contracts and real-time synchronization pipelines.
• Establish testing methodologies and observability practices to safeguard stability across enterprise deployments.
• Provide strategic mentorship to senior and staff engineers across global frontend teams.

✅ What You'll Need

• 10+ years of hands-on frontend software engineering experience with large-scale production web applications.
• Deep mastery of Angular 2+, React, TypeScript, RxJS, and enterprise state management systems.
• Proven history architecting and evolving complex web applications utilized by high-volume user bases.
• Expertise in browser profiling, memory optimization, and modular component architecture.
• Strong track record of balancing pragmatic execution speed with architectural sustainability.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder alignment skills across distributed engineering organizations.
