As a Frontend Software Engineer specializing in Next.js and React, you will join upGrad's engineering pod in Bengaluru to engineer fast, resilient, and accessible web experiences. This role goes beyond basic component implementation: you will take ownership of web performance, Core Web Vitals, rendering pipelines, and modern hybrid architectures (SSR, SSG, and hydration) that serve millions of students and educators.

💼 What You'll Do
- Build, maintain, and scale customer-facing web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

- Design and execute rendering strategies balancing server-side rendering (SSR), static generation (SSG), and smooth client-side hydration.
- Leverage profiling tools, Lighthouse audits, and Real User Monitoring (RUM) data to identify and resolve latency bottlenecks.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and DevOps to deliver reliable edge-cached web products.
- Enforce robust frontend engineering standards, maintainability, and code quality across the team.
✅ What You'll Need
- 3 to 5 years of software engineering experience with strong computer science and web fundamentals.
- Extensive hands-on experience developing production applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of browser architecture, DOM rendering lifecycles, and Core Web Vitals optimization techniques.
