🎯 The Role

The Moderation team builds features that enable moderators to create and grow destination communities. In this role, you'll drive moderation enforcement features from prototyping to production launch, contribute to the design system, and maintain high-quality UI platform architecture at Reddit scale.

💼 What You'll Do

• Drive new moderation tools and features end-to-end through technical design, prototyping, testing, and continuous iteration.
• Craft modern, accessible user experiences for accessing content and communities on Reddit.
• Contribute to the Reddit design system and component library to empower product teams across the organization.
• Architect scalable, high-performance, and low-latency web platform solutions.
• Partner cross-functionally with product managers, UI/UX designers, and platform engineers.

✅ What You'll Need

• 3+ years of experience in web application development using JavaScript, TypeScript, or modern web frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience with modern front-end frameworks (React preferred).
• Deep understanding of modern web stack performance, bundlers, and framework internals.
• Strong proficiency in software engineering best practices including unit testing, technical documentation, and code reviews.
• Exceptional communication and self-direction in a distributed remote team setting.

🌟 Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Web Components or LitElement.
• Familiarity with multi-language backend environments or general-purpose languages like Python, Go, or Java.
