🎯 The Role

As a Front-End Engineer III on the Expedia Group Cars team, you will build and evolve the end-to-end car rental shopping and reservation platform. You will design resilient client-side architectures, build performant UI experiences across multiple surfaces, and integrate modern GraphQL and REST APIs to serve millions of travelers searching, comparing, and booking vehicles globally.

💼 What You'll Do

• Architect and deliver responsive, accessible, and high-performance UI patterns aligned with enterprise design systems
• Implement modular client-side architectures covering state management, routing, and low-latency API consumption
• Partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Backend Engineers to execute data-driven A/B experimentation and UX improvements
• Drive rigorous testing, code reviews, web performance optimizations, and security best practices
• Contribute to cross-domain UI component libraries and shared frontend tooling
• Integrate AI/ML-driven features to surface personalized recommendations and optimize customer booking flows

✅ What You'll Need

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience building production-grade web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern web standards
• Demonstrated ownership of user-facing web features end-to-end, from low-level design to deployment and live-site telemetry
• Solid foundation in frontend system design, component-level LLD, and client-side data modeling
• Experience integrating complex RESTful or GraphQL backends
• Proficiency with modern build tooling, automated test suites (unit/integration), and CI/CD workflows
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

• Experience scaling large-scale React applications with multi-domain modularization and performance tuning
• Proven background contributing to enterprise UI design systems and accessibility (WCAG) standards
• Experience with experimentation platforms, telemetry instrumentation, and user analytics
• Hands-on exposure to AI-augmented developer workflows and integrating AI/ML capabilities into web applications
