🎯 The Role

Citi is seeking an accomplished Front End Developer (UI Engineer) at the Assistant Vice President (AVP) level to join its Applications Development team in Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on frontend development, building modern, high-quality user interfaces that solve complex financial business challenges.

You will work within an Agile Scrum delivery team, collaborating closely with UX designers, QA specialists, and backend service engineers to build digital products of the highest standard.

💼 What You'll Do

• Architect, engineer, and maintain mission-critical enterprise frontend applications using modern Angular and React.
• Collaborate in an Agile Scrum squad with product owners, UX designers, and QA specialists to deliver high-quality digital banking products.
• Provide technical thought leadership, lead code reviews, and mentor junior engineers in frontend software development standards.
• Design scalable client-side solutions that seamlessly integrate with RESTful and GraphQL microservices architectures.
• Ensure rigorous software engineering best practices through test automation, CI/CD pipeline integration, and robust build tooling.

✅ What You'll Need

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience specializing in frontend development with Angular or React.
• Demonstrated proficiency with modern build tooling and package managers including npm and Yarn.
• Solid expertise in automated frontend testing methodologies and frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, or Jest.
• Proven track record with software engineering best practices including unit testing, component design patterns, and peer code reviews.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

🌟 Nice to Have

• Exposure to Service Oriented and Microservices architectures, including REST and GraphQL implementations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, OpenShift) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Harness, Tekton).
• Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk).
