🎯 The Role

As a Staff Front End Engineer on the Web Visualization Tooling team, you will be instrumental in creating critical web tooling and visualization. This directly contributes to improving feedback loops for machine learning engineers and enhancing the performance and adaptability of Motional's autonomous vehicle system.

💼 What You'll Do

• Drive cross-team standards and best practices for web development.
• Lead cross-team collaborations to ensure timely and effective deliveries.
• Architect and scale a modern frontend ecosystem using React, TypeScript, and Vue.
• Work closely with ML, UX, data services, and other teams to align tooling with real-world workflows.
• Develop mission-critical UI systems for internal customers.
• Design intuitive experiences for complex, data-heavy workflows.
• Promote best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Iterate quickly in a product-driven environment.

• A strong desire to design and build user-facing visual applications with a passion for good UX.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture.
• Proficiency in Vue.
• Excellent product sense with a focus on UX and usability.
• Ability to work with high ownership, autonomy, and drive development initiatives independently.
• High aptitude for learning and strong organizational skills.
• Great interpersonal skills, including the ability to mentor and delegate to other engineers.
• A well-established habit of technical design and documentation.
• Capability to work directly with customers to identify needs and provide solutions.
