🎯 The Role

This is a remote, long-term contract position for a Senior ReactJS Software Engineer. You will be a key contributor to a high-traffic payments platform, focusing on modernizing frontend experiences and developing impactful features within a collaborative team. The role requires a passion for driving frontend innovation and a commitment to long-term growth.

💼 What You'll Do

• Build and ship new features across guest-facing checkout and payment flows, impacting millions of users.
• Modernize a large, established frontend codebase, including migrating legacy state-management patterns to current standards.
• Manage payment feature development from initial design through to successful launch on high-traffic consumer surfaces.
• Ensure all shipped UI adheres to a high accessibility standard (WCAG 2.1 AA).

✅ What You'll Need

• 7–10 years of professional experience building production web frontends using React and TypeScript.
• Extensive experience with Redux, including refactoring or migrating large, existing Redux codebases.
• Strong foundational knowledge of CSS and layout principles, with a proven track record of delivering accessible UI compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Ability to understand backend code and trace features from the UI through to the underlying Java/Kotlin services (no expectation to write backend code daily).
• Capability to quickly adapt to and navigate a large, unfamiliar codebase.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a distributed, asynchronous team.
