🎯 The Role

Glean is looking for creative Frontend Software Engineers to develop beautiful, smooth user-facing features within a modern React and TypeScript codebase. This role involves collaborating with product designers, balancing constraints with requirements, delivering best-in-class user interfaces for modern browsers, and building frontend infrastructure to support rapid experimentation.

💼 What You'll Do

• Build delightful user interfaces using React.js, working closely with product designers and backend engineers.
• Manage features from initial concept through launch and ongoing maintenance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Integrate the Glean experience into various workflows by pushing platform boundaries.
• Mentor junior engineers or learn from experienced team members.

✅ What You'll Need

• A BA/BS degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience with a highly polished consumer-grade React.js application, or 4+ years of experience with any web application.
• Ability to thrive in a customer-focused, collaborative, and cross-functional environment.
• A proactive and positive attitude, demonstrating leadership, a desire to learn, troubleshooting skills, and ownership of tasks and features.
• Passion for using open web technologies (HTML5/CSS/JS) to create pixel-perfect, low-latency, 60FPS user interfaces across all devices.
• Comfort with TypeScript, or JavaScript with an interest in types.
• Experience with or a desire to master technologies like Progressive Web Apps (PWA), Web Extensions, Electron, Capacitor, React, Redux, or Webpack.
