🎯 The Role

As a Software Engineer 1 (Web) on Zepto's Fulfilment Web team, you will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical web applications that drive the company's end-to-end supply chain. Your interfaces will serve as the operational nerve center for warehouse operations, vendor portals, last-mile logistics, and inventory planning. You will tackle complex state management and performance challenges where every millisecond directly impacts warehouse throughput and business efficiency.

💼 What You'll Do

• Architect, build, and maintain modular web applications using React and TypeScript with clean architecture principles.
• Translate complex supply chain, financial, and warehouse workflows into intuitive, resilient user interfaces.
• Build high-concurrency UIs capable of handling massive datasets, virtualized tables, and complex multi-step forms.
• Proactively optimize Core Web Vitals, runtime rendering efficiency, and JavaScript bundle sizes.
• Instrument client-side telemetry and error tracking to guarantee high availability across dark-store operations.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to build reliable features and interfaces for internal AI-assisted tooling.

✅ What You'll Need

• 1+ years of hands-on software development experience building and deploying production web applications at scale.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS, grounded in browser rendering fundamentals.
• Strong proficiency in React and modern client/server state management libraries (TanStack Query, Zustand, Redux).
• Hands-on experience building complex web systems such as data-heavy dashboards, RBAC portals, or real-time operations tools.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, HTTP, WebSockets, web security, and performance optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

🌟 Nice to Have

• Experience with backend services or contributing to REST/GraphQL APIs in Node.js, Go, Java, or Python.
• Familiarity with AI developer workflows (Cursor, Copilot, automated testing) and building UIs for LLM or agentic tools.
• Experience with monorepo architectures, modern bundlers, and end-to-end testing frameworks like Playwright.
