🎯 The Role

As an SDE 3 (Frontend — Web) at Porter, you will take technical ownership of mission-critical web applications powering customer-facing and operational logistics interfaces. You will define scalable web architectures, establish Core Web Vitals performance benchmarks, champion the internal design system, and mentor a talented frontend engineering team.

💼 What You'll Do

• Architect and scale high-traffic, SEO-critical web platforms utilizing Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR) with Next.js.
• Set strict performance budgets, optimize bundle delivery, and safeguard frontend security protocols.
• Build resilient, hyper-responsive tracking dashboards with real-time WebSockets and Firestore data streams.
• Drive modular monorepo governance with Nx and help evolve enterprise-grade design system components.
• Foster code craft excellence through code reviews, technical specs, and mentoring fellow engineers.

✅ What You'll Need

• 4+ years of production experience in frontend/web engineering, ideally in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.
• Deep, hands-on mastery of TypeScript, modern React, and Next.js architectural patterns.
• Strong grounding in system design, modular component patterns, and complex state management.
• Demonstrated background in web performance tuning (bundle analysis, caching, Core Web Vitals, mobile webviews).
• Practical experience with real-time data streaming (WebSockets, Firebase/Firestore) and frontend observability (Sentry, Datadog).

🌟 Nice to Have

• Experience engineering localized, multi-region web applications (i18n) and integrating headless CMS platforms (such as Strapi).
• Working exposure to Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers, edge computing, or serverless functions.
