🎯 The Role

The Trust & Safety Experience team owns customer journeys during authentication, identity verification, and fraud prevention. As a Senior Software Engineer focusing on Frontend, you will deliver high-availability, low-latency interfaces that protect Affirm customers while maintaining a seamless checkout experience.

💼 What You'll Do

• Own the frontend architecture for authentication, account recovery, and identity verification.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and fraud data scientists to launch new safety features.
• Build responsive, accessible UI components aligned with Affirm design system.
• Ensure strict frontend stability, uptime, and telemetry monitoring across high-volume checkout flows.
• Contribute to engineering design docs and mentor team members through thorough code reviews.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering production web applications.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern state management.
• Practical experience with client-side security best practices and authentication workflows.
• Track record of writing reliable, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage.
• Solid cross-functional communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.
