🎯 The Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Air team in Bengaluru, you will take end-to-end ownership of the customer-facing surfaces that travelers and travel managers use daily to search, compare, book, and manage air travel. In this hybrid role, you will navigate high-scale distributed workflows, modernize core booking journeys, and drive technical excellence across web and mobile surfaces.

🛠️ Tech Stack

• React, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript
• React Native for mobile experiences
• Semantic HTML5, modern CSS architectures, and responsive layouts
• Enterprise design systems and modular component libraries
• Modern build pipelines, automated testing, and telemetry instrumentation

💼 What You'll Do

• Drive end-to-end delivery of frontend features from architectural design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing optimization
• Design and engineer resilient, accessible, and fast web and mobile user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and React Native
• Collaborate with product management and design teams to translate complex airline ticketing and search requirements into intuitive interfaces
• Partner with backend engineers to define resilient API contracts, client caching strategies, and telemetry monitoring
• Elevate team-wide engineering practices through thoughtful code reviews, automated testing, and technical mentorship
• Apply AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to speed up prototyping, testing, and documentation while maintaining strict code quality

✅ What You'll Need

• 7+ years of hands-on professional software engineering experience building customer-facing web or mobile applications
• Strong command of React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, semantic HTML5, and CSS
• Solid foundation in frontend architecture, browser APIs, state management, web performance optimization, and accessibility (WCAG)
• Practical experience developing reusable component libraries and utilizing design systems
• Sound product intuition and proven experience delivering high-quality software in fast-paced engineering environments
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical engineering experience

🌟 Nice to Have

• Production experience with React Native for cross-platform mobile delivery
• Prior experience in travel tech, booking engines, e-commerce checkout funnels, or high-volume marketplace platforms
