🎯 The Role

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer on the Coinbase Card team, you will be responsible for building and shipping user-facing experiences for Coinbase's card products, including the Coinbase One Card (credit) and the Coinbase Card (debit). This role involves consolidating both products onto a unified card platform, offering high ownership and greenfield feature work with direct impact on millions of customers.

💼 What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end frontend development for core crypto money movement experiences across web and mobile, including send, receive, and transaction status tracking.
• Drive measurable improvements in customer journey (CUJ) latency, availability, and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the payment flows under your ownership.
• Build new user-facing features such as contact management systems and real-time transaction status trackers.
• Partner with product, design, and backend engineering teams to scope, prioritize, and ship projects that reduce customer experience (CX) contact rates and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks across payment flows, aiming to reduce end-to-end latency and improve reliability for millions of users.

✅ What You'll Need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in React and React Native.
• A proven track record of shipping consumer-facing products end-to-end in a high-scale environment, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Experience owning SLOs and driving measurable improvements in latency and availability for user-facing flows.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and operate as a senior technical voice within a team of mixed experience levels.
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
