🎯 The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (Agentic AI), you will have significant product ownership and autonomy, building the AI agents that assist hardware engineers in reviewing test and flight data. This is a product engineering role focused on making agents dependable in the browser, involving streaming interactions, long-running tasks, and rendering agent output over large real-time datasets.

🛠️ Tech Stack

The core technologies include React, Next.js, and TypeScript for the web frontend. You'll also work with Redux for state management, Tailwind and Radix UI for styling and component libraries, and leverage advanced browser capabilities with WebAssembly, D3.js, and WebGL for technical visualizations. The broader platform uses Go for backend, and various data and infrastructure technologies like Parquet, Flink, Kafka, AWS, and Kubernetes.

💼 What You'll Do

• Engage directly with customers and product teams to translate review workflows into agent capabilities, such as generating dashboards and surfacing insights.
• Develop and enhance the frontend interfaces where Sift Agents operate, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
• Design and implement interaction patterns for agentic UX, including streaming responses, managing long-running tasks, and clearly displaying agent actions.
• Optimize the rendering of agent findings alongside large real-time telemetry datasets, maintaining high performance.
• Push browser limits using technologies like Web Workers and OPFS-backed caching, and step outside React when necessary to overcome performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to the component library to ensure consistent UI patterns across the product.
• Collaborate with backend and full-stack engineers on API design to power agent sessions.

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• A passion for product ownership, including customer interaction, decision-making on features, and shipping solutions.
• Proven experience building complex, high-performance web applications using technologies like React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Exceptional attention to detail, noticing micro-interactions, latency, and polish that define outstanding interfaces.
• Curiosity about new AI products, actively exploring and forming opinions on what makes them effective.

• Experience shipping products to users at scale, involving large data volumes or significant active user counts.
• Prior work with LLM-powered features or building chat/agentic interfaces with streaming responses and tool-call rendering.
• A strong understanding of web performance optimization and browser rendering techniques.
• Proficiency with modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind and component libraries such as Radix UI for design systems.
• Familiarity with technical visualization tools (WebGL, D3.js, Apache ECharts), WebAssembly, and time-series data.
• Experience building tools for technical users, such as dashboards or data-editing environments.
• A personal ecosystem of AI development tooling, custom agents, or workflows.
• A background in scientific computing or hardware test and telemetry.
