🎯 The Role
Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of their state-of-the-art digital platform. This role involves building a world-class platform to host a wide range of digital applications, working with modern frontend technologies and cloud infrastructure.

💼 What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications using React and TypeScript
- Work on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution
- Drive application development focused on delivering business valuable features
- Mentor and assist software engineers, providing technical assistance and direction
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team
- Guide the team to develop structured application/interface code and documentation
- Communicate with end users and internal customers to direct development, debugging, and testing
- Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing
- Manage completion of own work assignments and coordinate work with others
✅ What You'll Need
- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university
- Three years or more of experience in designing and developing software applications in ReactJS
- Five years or more of software development experience (or three years with master's degree)
- Demonstrated leadership on small to medium-scale projects impacting strategic priorities
🌟 Nice to Have
- Experience with Java
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of application architectural patterns (MVC, Microservices, Event-driven)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GoCD, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure)
- Working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum)
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS, Sass, Bootstrap, JavaScript, TypeScript, Webpack, Babel, Redux, Jest, React Testing Library, Git, Node, NPM
