As a Senior Software Developer (Web), you will join the Interactive Graphics Solution team to build and deliver a collaborative Extended Reality (XR) platform. This role involves creating modern, high-performance web frontends that enhance spatial understanding for customers, working closely with UX Designers to redefine immersive collaboration.
The core technologies include JavaScript (ES6+), React, TypeScript, Golang (for backend services), and AWS. You'll work with real-time communication technologies like WebSockets, Microsoft Fluid, and data formats such as JSON and Protobuf. Experience with Electron, Git, GitHub, and potentially 3D/immersive web technologies like ThreeJS or WebXR is valued.
You will design, develop, and maintain frontend applications and backend services, optimizing web-based components for performance across XR headsets. You'll lead complex projects, collaborate with architects, UX designers, and product managers to translate requirements into features, and help shape system design for scalability and performance in cloud and web environments. Additionally, you'll lead technical discussions and stay updated on emerging trends.
You should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 5+ years of hands-on experience, emphasizing frontend development. Deep experience with complex, performance-sensitive web applications using JavaScript (ES6+), React, and TypeScript is essential. A strong understanding of browser performance, DOM/JavaScript engine limitations, real-time communication, algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and browser rendering pipelines is required. Experience with Electron, AWS (S3), Git, GitHub, and agile development is also necessary, along with good problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include an MS Degree in Computer Science, experience with 3D and immersive web technologies (ThreeJS, WebXR), proven experience with AWS cloud services and resilient architecture, full-stack experience (backend + frontend), databases (SQL/NoSQL), containerization (Docker), basic game engine experience (Unreal Engine), basic AR/VR/MR experience, and proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Spinnaker) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), as well as observability tools (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
