🎯 The Role

Sequence is looking for an ambitious Senior Product Engineer with a frontend specialization to join its engineering hub in New York City. You will take complete ownership of mission-critical product surfaces, translating natural language business logic and complex financial operations into intuitive, delightful user experiences.

💼 What You'll Do

• Design and implement AI command centers, approval chains, and automated contract intake workflows.
• Build human-in-the-loop review interfaces that allow finance teams to audit and guide AI agents.
• Architect reusable UI component systems and data-fetching patterns across web applications.
• Partner directly with founders, product designers, and customers to define roadmap features.
• Champion performance benchmarks, rigorous Playwright test suites, and production reliability.

✅ What You'll Need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping high-quality production web applications.
• Advanced proficiency in React, TypeScript, and contemporary state management (e.g. Jotai or Zustand).
• An obsessive eye for interaction design, spacing, typography, and frontend responsiveness.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced in-person team environment in New York City (3 days/week).
• Willingness to take full ownership from ideation to production telemetry.

🌟 Nice to Have

• Prior experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, billing, or developer tooling.
• Familiarity with Kotlin or backend microservices.
• Founding engineer or early-stage startup experience.
