🎯 The Role
We are seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to drive the architectural strategy and technical execution across our 80+ engineer Application Portfolio, encompassing all Web, Mobile, and Headless surfaces. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role where you will set the vision for our technology transformation, bridging the gap between deep frontend architecture and scalable, agentic API-first platforms.
🛠️ Tech Stack
The role involves defining frontend architecture standards across various surfaces. The tech stack includes modern frontend technologies (frameworks, libraries) and API design (REST, GraphQL). Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar agent-integration patterns is expected.
💼 What You'll Do
- Define and drive the technical strategy for the entire Applications Portfolio, establishing deep frontend architecture standards.
- Act as a key mentor and coach to senior engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Collaborate deeply with Product leadership to drive roadmaps and ensure engineering alignment with customer needs.
- Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams for complex, multi-team projects.
- Spearhead technology transformation from a 'feature factory' to a platform-driven system.
- Partner with Design Systems teams to influence shared UI components and design tokens.
- Identify and reduce systemic technical risks through hands-on reviews and prototyping.
✅ What You'll Need
- 15+ years of experience as a senior/principal-level software engineer with deep frontend architecture expertise.
- Proven success leading technology transformation across large organizations (80+ engineers).
- Deep understanding of modern API design (REST, GraphQL) and distributed systems.
- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar agent-integration patterns.
- Strong product mindset and collaboration with Product leaders.
- Ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on coding.
- Experience evaluating and adopting new frontend technologies.
- Track record of scaling robust frontend architectures for high-traffic, complex UIs.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to drive consensus across distributed teams.
