🎯 The Role

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer within eBay's Identity team, you will be pivotal in developing and supporting core Identity Services, including Authentication, Authorization, User Management, and Web Services Security. This role involves implementing ID Federation protocols like OAuth and OpenID Connect, maintaining a platform that serves hundreds of millions of users on both desktop and mobile. You will engage throughout the entire product development lifecycle, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Architectural teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

💼 What You'll Do

• Translate complex requirements into clean, efficient, extensible, and maintainable software designs and code.
• Take full ownership of the software lifecycle for subsystems, including design, development, testing, deployment, observability, and monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and offer mentorship to team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop innovative solutions that align with development goals.
• Lead initiatives to improve end-to-end testing quality and accelerate delivery velocity.
• Manage project features, break them into sub-tasks, and resolve issues for efficient execution.

✅ What You'll Need

• 6+ years of experience in designing and developing front-end systems.
• Strong proficiency in Javascript/Typescript, CSS, React, and Node.js.
• Experience with Server-side rendering (SSR) using open-source UI libraries (e.g., Material UI, Ant UI).
• Proven ability to integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Expertise in BEM-structured CSS and a deep understanding of browser intricacies.
• Practical experience with Webpack and Express.js.
• Demonstrated ability to build scalable, distributed, high-performant, robust, and highly available systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
