🎯 The Role

As the Web Platform Lead, you will take ownership of front-end architecture across multiple product surfaces in a single Next.js monorepo. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with broad architectural scope where you will partner closely with product designers, back-end engineers, and AI tooling.

• Data & State: TanStack Query / SWR / RTK Query
• Testing: Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright / Cypress
• AI & Integrations: Anthropic Claude API, Claude Code

💼 What You'll Do

• Design and maintain Next.js 14 monorepo architecture, routing strategies, and server/client component boundaries.
• Build and govern the component library and design-token layer alongside product designers.
• Establish real-time data fetching, state management, and strict API contract type safety.
• Integrate streaming AI interfaces using the Anthropic Claude API.
• Set and enforce web accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and performance budgets in CI pipelines.
• Mentor growing frontend team members and review code to maintain engineering standards.

✅ What You'll Need

• 5+ years in production frontend engineering, including 2+ years on complex B2B enterprise applications.
• Strong expertise in Next.js 14 App Router, React 18+, and TypeScript 5+.
• Experience creating or owning design systems, design tokens, and component primitives.
• In-depth understanding of modern CSS, responsive layouts, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).
• Mastery of automated testing workflows across unit, integration, and end-to-end suites.

🌟 Nice to Have

• Background in EdTech, HR-Tech, or L&D applications.
• Experience with WebSockets, SSE, or optimistic UI updates.
• Direct experience building UIs for streaming LLM outputs.
