They ship both SaaS and on-premise, and were named Best Product in Agentic SRE & Full-Stack Observability Tools at the CIO Conclave & Awards 2025. They're competing with Datadog, New Relic, and Grafana with a smaller team, betting that better product thinking beats bigger headcount.

🎯 The Role

Observability UIs are hard in a way most frontend work isn't. You'll be rendering millions of data points without dropping frames, streaming live telemetry into views that can't flicker, and designing trace waterfalls, flame graphs, service topology maps, and log tables that stay usable at high cardinality. You'll have real authority over frontend architecture, the component library, and how the product actually feels to use.

💼 What You'll Do

• Own the frontend for observability and API security consoles end-to-end
• Build high-density data visualization: time-series charts, trace waterfalls, flamegraphs, service dependency maps, heatmaps, and virtualized log/event tables
• Handle real-time data via WebSocket, streaming updates, backpressure, incremental rendering
• Establish and maintain the design system across three product surfaces
• Make the product work in air-gapped on-premise deployments
• Set and enforce performance bar for interaction latency, memory, and initial load
• Partner with backend on query and API shape to influence API design
• Raise the bar through code review, testing practices, and mentoring

✅ What You'll Need

• 5–6 years building production web applications with data-heavy or dashboard-style products
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript
• Deep React experience including render performance, memoization, virtualization, profiling
• Hands-on data visualization with D3, ECharts, uPlot, visx, Recharts, or Canvas/WebGL
• Solid CSS for dense information layouts and responsive behaviour
• Practical experience with real-time data in the browser (WebSockets, SSE, polling)
• Comfort consuming complex REST or GraphQL APIs
• Modern build tooling (Vite, Webpack), testing habits (Vitest/Jest, RTL, Playwright/Cypress)
• Accessibility fundamentals (semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, WCAG 2.1 AA)
• Comfort with ambiguity and product sense

🌟 Nice to Have

• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, Prometheus, Jaeger, Honeycomb)
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry concepts
• Experience with WebGL or Canvas rendering for large datasets
• Background in security tooling UI or OWASP Top 10 / CVSS
• Next.js and SSR/SSG trade-offs
• Enough Node.js to build a BFF layer
• Open-source contributions or side projects
