🎯 The Role

Multi Media, LLC is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer specializing in performance tuning and optimization to join their Viewer team. This role involves enhancing high-traffic user experiences across search, video, and site navigation on Chaturbate. The position requires deep expertise in browser execution, profiling bottlenecks, analyzing memory usage, and identifying performance issues.

• Core Frameworks: React, Angular, Vue, Svelte (modern front-end frameworks), TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Performance Tools: Chrome DevTools, React Profiler, Lighthouse, CPU profiles, flame charts, network waterfalls, performance traces
• Concepts: Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), heap snapshots, allocation profiles, garbage-collection analysis, detached DOM-node detection

💼 What You'll Do

• Diagnose, triage, and resolve performance issues such as unnecessary renders, long tasks, memory leaks, forced reflows, layout shifts, expensive painting, and excessive JavaScript execution.
• Define and improve measurable performance targets using real-user monitoring, Lighthouse, synthetic testing, Chrome DevTools, and business metrics.
• Establish performance budgets, dashboards, and alerts.
• Elevate the organization's performance capabilities through technical talks, workshops, documentation, mentoring, code reviews, and reusable tooling.

✅ What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep expertise in modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Svelte, etc.), TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with experience in high-traffic consumer web applications.
• Expert-level proficiency with Chrome DevTools, React Profiler, Lighthouse, CPU profiles, flame charts, network waterfalls, and performance traces.
• Senior-level technical leadership skills, including identifying high-impact work, influencing architecture, and advising teams.
• Strong understanding of browser internals (JavaScript execution, style calculation, layout, painting, rasterization, compositing).
• Proven experience improving Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) using real-user data.
• Hands-on experience diagnosing memory leaks using heap snapshots, allocation profiles, and detached DOM-node detection.
• Ability to optimize rendering, hydration, bundle size, code splitting, main-thread work, third-party scripts, and frontend asset delivery.
